WCL adds to its client offering with two new hires during lockdown

London, September 1, 2020: WCL, the provider of business solutions designed to support the electronic placement of risks, accounting and settlement and claims for the commercial (re)insurance industry, has strengthened its client offering with two new appointments to its London team.

Nick Waghorn has been appointed Account Manager, a new role at WCL, bringing with him more than 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry in client-facing and business development roles. Nick joins from Swiss Re, where, as Senior Client Manager, he led the broker distribution strategy and client management for UK/Ireland Corporate. Nick started his career at Duncan Pocock Insurance Brokers in 1999 and has since worked at Allianz, Keelan Westall Insurance Brokers, AXA Insurance, and AIG UK.

Based in London, Nick will focus on maintaining and developing WCL’s existing client relationships, as well as developing WCL’s global network of clients as the business expands.

Meanwhile, Clement Arockiasamy joins WCL’s development team as a Test Analyst. With 10 years’ experience in the insurance industry, Clement recently worked with the Lloyd’s of London insurance market and provided testing and automation solutions for multiple projects. He has previously worked with Aviva Insurance, ZFS, Prudential Financials, Santander Banking and Baxter Healthcare industries by providing development, support and testing strategic solutions. Clement will focus on testing and implementing WCL’s processes to support WCL’s external clients and business partners.
